Why mulch

Faster, cleaner, and built for Florida scrub.

Palm State Clear Cut is a forestry mulching company based in Palm Bay. We clear overgrown land in Brevard, Indian River, Osceola, and Orange County with one machine — not a dozer crew and a burn pile. How forestry mulching works.

Single machine. Single pass.

The CAT 259D3 and HM215 head cut, grind, and mulch in one pass. No extra crews. No burn piles.

Mulch stays. Soil stays.

Material is ground where it stands. The chip layer holds moisture on Florida sand and keeps the dirt from washing out.

Built for palmetto.

Saw palmetto, gallberry, Brazilian pepper, cabbage palm — the stuff that eats a weekend and a brush hog.

Lot clearing

House pads, fence lines, and the backyard that’s been losing to palmetto.

Land clearing

Acreage you want walkable and build-ready without a dozer scar.

Selective trees

Keep what you want. Mark what has to come down. Haul or grind stumps if you want them gone.

Why we mulch — one machine, no burn pile, land you can walk.

Questions

Where can I see your work?
Instagram. Photos and video of real jobs — the CAT, the crew, and the cover we run in. We don’t keep a gallery on this site.
Is forestry mulching better than a bulldozer?
For most Florida lots, yes. One machine, no burn piles, no haul-off unless you want it. Roots stay, soil stays, and you get a mulch layer instead of a scraped mess.
What size trees can the mulcher take?
The head is built for brush and trees in the under-8-inch class. Mark anything bigger on the estimate — we cut and chop those, and haul or grind stumps if you want them gone.
Does the palmetto grow back?
It’ll try. Palmetto and Brazilian pepper resprout from the roots — mulching is a reset, not a poison. The chip layer slows them, and a mow or two the first year keeps it from turning back into a wall.
Will the mulch attract termites?
A thin chip layer on an open lot isn’t a wood pile against the house. We don’t stack it on the slab. Keep it off the foundation and it’s not a termite magnet — Florida dirt already has wood in it.
How long does a job take?
Most house lots and small acreage are a day. Thick palmetto and bigger tracts take longer. The estimate is based on the acres you draw and how heavy the cover is.
How much does land clearing cost?
The number is for the job as drawn — acres, density, trees, and whether marked trees and stumps get hauled. Draw the tract to see it. We don’t publish a per-acre menu because light pasture and a palmetto wall are not the same day.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Licensed and insured in Florida.
